Hello M'am, please relax. There is nothing in life that can upset you if you are content with yourself and feel secure. There is nothing wrong with your husband trying to consult his parents for advice - it is possible that he needs emotional support and is not able to take decisions on his own. You can try to provide that emotional support yourself and develop the trust of your husband. The first step is to stop judging him and accepting him the way he is. Try to find out what are his problems in personal life and at work and try to talk more with him. Communication is the solution to all problems in life - mature, loving, caring communication. All will be well. Just bring more love into your relationship, reduce your expectations from him, empathize with him as he is the sole bread-winner of the family and lives away from his parents/support system (working in a government job is not easy for an honest man or for any man), also he is a PhD holder - a big thinker and life is not easy for those who think too much. He must be a very sensitive man. Care for him, love him, do your duty unilaterally (with no expectations), try to find out where the shoe pinches for him and as a wife do your duty of making life better for him and have faith in God. Will take care. Relax and enjoy. Your life is yours, no one else's. See how you can improve. Only you can improve. No one else. This forum is open to you for help.
