How To Heal IV Needle Mediated Hard Sore Bump On Forearm?

I was released from the hospital 4 days ago, I had an Iv put in in my mid forearm, the iv tech missed a coupe of times i felt a sharp pain, he said tendon? anyhow now im home and 2 days ago i noticed a hard sore lump about 5 inches up from my iv site closer to the bend in my forearm, do i need to be concerened? what can i do?

Hi,

It may be hematoma... means the blood collected underneath the skin. There is no need to to worry at all,as the swelling may reduce in few days without treatment.Still you may apply thrombophob oint to enhance the reduction. Take tab vitamin C 500 mg thrice a day.
