How To Heal Dry Cough?

i am suffering cough ( dry cough) , there is no in my throat but i feel something uncomfortable in my throat. I have been taking tablet levosiz, upicontin , predmet. When i consume these tablet, that completely reduces cough , if i do not take it for next 2 days, again i will get cough

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dry cough which is due to infection in upper respiratory tract mainly but it could be due to bronchitis/ trachitis. Allergy in respiratory tract could also be reason of dry cough. I would suggest you to take cough suppressant containing antihistaminic. You should do warm saline gargles. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist first once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should get X-Ray chest along with Culture and sensitivity of throat swab. you should go for gram's staining of throat swab as well. Take cough expectorants. Get blood test done to detect level of infection. You should take steam inhalation. Apply mist humidifiers in room.
