How To Heal Sickness Mediated Voice Problem?

I host Karaoke for a living and am also a singer! I got sick last year pretty bad and my voice has never been the same! I am sick now and I am having trouble speaking at all. I am scared to see a doctor but after reading some information just now I fear I may need to or the worst! Can you speculate?

Hello and welcome to health care magic,

You should be more scared if you do not go to a doctor!!
Doctors are not devils who will try to cause you harm! We diagnose a problem only to rectify and give you solution so please do not be afraid and consult an ENT as soon as possible.
I have seen more than ten thousand patients with voice problems and done more than five hundred surgeries on the vocal cords with excellent results. Having said that you must get yourself evaluated with an endoscopy of the vocal cords and get back to me or any ENT with the reports.
Meanwhile it is better to take complete voice rest, avoid anything cold and do not strain when you speak.

Hope this helps
