How To Heal The Infection In Earlobe Which Is Having Fishy Odor?

I have my earlobes gauged to a 0gg size. I got sick during a lot of cold weather, and my earlobes contracted around my earring and cracked the earlobe. This has happened before, and I have been able to heal them relatively quickly. This infection, however, has a fishy odor to it, something I have never noticed before during an infection. Should I go see my piercer to see if they have any information or my doctor to get their opinion?

Hello and welcome to health care magic,

You seem to have an infected ear lobe which is common after piercing. the Fishy odor is also common in some infection.

You can apply a local antibiotic ointment and also start on oral antibiotics like amox-clav in consultation with your doctor.

keep and ear dry and do not try to rub. In any case if it does not heal in a couple of days you must consult an ENT as soon as possible
