How To Heal The Pimple With Puss That Is Near A Pierced Area?

Got my peircing done summer of 2013 about two days ago 18 February 2014 I started getting a pimple looking thing on peircing I cleaned it with soap while in shower and poked at for a while puss came out and got really red what caused this to form ? What can I do to heal it ?

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Definitely there is Infection causing redness and pus formation.

If I was your treating doctor I would have advised you to take an oral antibiotic (penicillin group e.g Amoxycillin) for a week.

An OTC topical antibacterial e.g 2% mupirocin can be applied at that site twice daily for a week.
