How To Identify Unsuccessful Abortion?
I had an abortion on June 13th. I went for a follow up exam on the 27th 2 weeks after. I then went to my OBGYN and she s saying I need a DNC done, as she still sees product left over. Could it be just my menstrual cycle coming? The clinic stated that they didn t see anything at the last appointment so I m not sure if a DNC is necessary. Please advise. Thank you

You can make out the remaining products of abortion by doing an ultrasound scan.
Many a times, they will not come out during menstruation.
If they stay inside, it may get infected and lead to complications.
Hence it needs to be cleared by D and C procedure. Kindly get it done at the earliest.
