R/Sir,
My father is suffering from blood cancer type CML since last 10 months, he was taking Imatib 300mg taking daily. everything was going fine. He was eating food, fruits regularly and taking tablets regularly.Last week doctor told for biopsy again and it was failed as blood sample not taken properly. Then the doctor recommended to take 400mg tablet. since that day he is not able to settle. not able to take food, suffering from fever and acidity is very high. Now the doctor has stopped the medicine for 7 days. since last three days he is not taking medicine. Please suggest what should be done immediately for improvement.
Hi, dear. I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. He has chronic myeloid leukemia. Imatinib is the drug of choice for that. He should start imatinib in appropriate dosage. If he has acidity and other problems then he can take pentoprazol to avoid that. He should also go for regular check up of blood count to measure the response. If he is not responding then he can also go for stem celltransplantation. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
