Hallow Dear,
If you have taken
Duphaston pills for 10 days and if you are not pregnant, you should get withdrawal bleeding within 4-7 days. Now that you have failed to get withdrawal bleeding even after 7 days, you should get the possibility of
pregnancy checked.
Please perform a pregnancy test on your overnight first morning urine sample. Alternatively you may opt for a more sensitive
Beta hCG test on your blood. If they indicate the pregnancy, you will have to decide whether you want to continue this pregnancy or not. If you are not pregnant, you have following options:
1. Repeat pills which will contain both Oestrogen and
Progesterone. You may opt for Oestrogen dominant birth control pills. Take these pills for 5 days and then you should get your menses within 4-7 days.
2. If still there is no withdrawal bleeding, or alternatively to the first option, you may get your blood examined for hormones like FSH, LH, Oestrogen, Progesterone and
Prolactin. This will help us to identify the
hormonal imbalance or
premature menopause. Depending upon the results of the hormonal assays, further management can be planned.
So, you have to report to the Gynaecologist about the failure of Duphaston.
I hope this helps you.
