How To Know If I Have Acne Under My Eye Or Is It Dermatitis?

How do I know if I have acne under my eye or is it dermatitis? I am a 46 year old woman with combination skin and am prone to a couple of acne spots on my face which are treated with acne cream. I also have a couple of patches of eczema on my toe and occasional flareups on my fingers. The red raised spots are only under one eye and seemed to occur right after I go into the pool. I was given cortisone cream by my family doctor for the eczema on my fingers but there is a warning to not use it around mucous membranes. How can I treat the under eye bumps?

You have actuallly two different diseases as per your description.

Eczema and acne.


The lesions you are describing under eye may be different from these two conditions.

I need to know do dey disappear on their own and if so , in how much time ?

Are they itchy ??

I will be able to tell the appropriate diagnosis after seeing the lesion.

So if possible kindly attach a pic and get back to me or you can consult a nearby dermatologist so that the lesions can be examined and correct advice can be given to you.
