How To Lower Blood Sugar Level While Taking Predisone?

I am taking predisone for pneumonia this is increasing blood sugar reading I am increasing insulin I got out of Hospital today after having been on insulin pump for 24 hrs and nurses checking my blood sugar hourly I also have a pacemaker and defibulator.
