Hello,

If the test for chlamydia comes out positive, you do not need to repeat it. Even if you repeat it and it comes out negative but he has not had treatment still treatment is needed.

The tests for sexually transmitted diseases might not diagnose the disease in a considerable number of patients so when they are positive it is best to treat right away.
It is best that your fiance be treated and you as well at the same time and avoid intercourse while on treatment.
In 3 months he needs to be tested again to make sure the infection has not recurred.

I hope this is helpful and answers to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
