How To Normalize SGPT, SGOT And Triglyceride's Level In Blood?

I have just got my complete blood examination done, wherein under Liver Function Test my SGPT & SGOT levels are out of range. My SGOT level is 53.2 and SGPT 42.5 whereas the range provided by the lab is 10-38 and 0-38 respectively. Also, under Lipid Profile my Triglycerides level is very high and out of range. My reading of Triglycerides is 277 whereas the range given by lab is 65-190. As such I don’t have any visible symptoms of any problem. I am bit obese. Please help me understand the cause and cure for both the deviations in my blood test. Are these results a cause of concern for my health in any way?

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. The readings of SGPT and SGOT are mildly elevated.
2. It suggests very mild inflammation and is due to increased triglycerides in blood.
3. Triglycerides preferably should be below 150.
4. You will need to be started on fibrates medication. Along with it weight reduction, low calorie diet, moderate exercises are necessary. Triglycerides reduction is necessary for all values to return to normal. Fibrates like clofibrates along with fiber rich diet is necessary.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
