Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Heroin is an opioid drug and the drug is a highly dependence producing substance. You are abusing heroin since last 10 years so to quit this drug you have to take proper treatment. The treatment consists of two phase of treatment. Acute phase in hospital or OPD based setting. In acute phase of treatment replacement of Heroin would be done with some better and safer drug like Methadone or Subutex (Buprenorphine). To prevent severe withdrawal drugs like Clonidine can be used in acute phase. Once individual become stabilised on either of those drugs then maintenance treatment is started. Anticraving drugs like Naloxone, some times Pregabalin or Gabapentin are used. Doses of Methadone or Buprenorphine are reduced gradually and individual becomes drug free. Please visit a doctor for detailed help.

Thanks, I hope this helps you. Take care
