How To Overcome Pain During Pap Smear Procedure?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? I am a 44 year old who has only had one pap smear in her early teenage years. I was sexually assaulted when I was a young teenager. Because of that I have never had sexual intercourse. Since I have not had intercourse will this test be more painful and what questions will I be asked of from the Physician? Is there anything I can do to calm my nerves?
