How To Overcome The Pain And Bumps On My Hairline?

I recently gogt my hair braided and noticed that there are large redish bumps on my hairline. Sometimes they start to grow a little puss in the but they are very painful. I took my braids out a couple of days ago but the bumps and pain have not went away. Any help?

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

I would keep a possibility of folliculitis probably secondary to the trauma of braiding.

If I was your treating doctor I would have advised you to take an oral antibiotic (penicillin group e,g amoxycillin) for a week along with topical antibacterial ointment e.g 2% mupirocin twice daily.
