How To Overcome The Swooshing Sound In My Ear And Blocking In Nose?

I've had swooshing sound in ear for almost 3 months now. Was on an antibiotic, Nasonex and Sudafed. Helped alittle ENT said it had to due with my Eustachian tube and to be patient. Its making me crazy. Sometimes I feel like my nose is also blocked on that side and can't blow my nose. This all started after having a cyst removed from my lip, using novacaine injection

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding nasal obstruction and wooshing sound in your ear for last 3 months. Though you have taken medication in the form of tab and nasal spray but got only mild relief.

Your doctor had said very correctly that it is eustachian tube dysfunction so you should now be investigated for the same. On investigation it may be possible that you may be found to be having any of these-

1- Inferior turbinate hypertrophy.

2- Sinusitis.

3- Deviated nasal septum.

Above are the common for giving prolong nasal obstruction with minimal relief by nasal drops and spray. Therefore I suggest you to consult your ENT doctor for curative step regarding your disease.

Regards.
