How To Overcome Throbbing Pain On The Hurt Finger?

I got my finger caught in a car door yesterday. Last night was very difficult trying to sleep due to the throbbing pain. I iced it on/off yesterday after the injury for 20 minutes at a time. It s starting to throb again today. It s close to the tip of my pointer finger. I don t believe a bone is broken. It s just very painful due to swelling. Is there a way to cease the pain quickly besides icing?

Hi
Icing wil decrese the blood loss when injured and thus swelling.As u said it is tip of ur finger no chance of bone fracture.Better to take pain killers like Combiflam/ paracetamol 1000mg.nothing to worry.try this.definitely u wil feel better.
