How To Postpone Periods Inspite Of Being On Birth Control Pills?

Hello, I have been on Myzilra BC for about 3-4 years now. I usually get my periods on the Thursday after starting my sugar pills and it usually lasts until about Saturday night/Sunday morning. However, I have an event coming up this weekend where I don t want to have my period. I have already taken one sugar pill this week so I was wondering if I skipped to my next pack of active pills tonight, will it mess up my schedule? Will the BC still be effective? Will I have some bleeding? And if I do still have bleeding will it end by this weekend? Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, if you continue with your active pills extended, till the time you want period to be delayed and follow it by sugar pills. You would get your period in week of finishing the sugar pills. Its not likely to disturb your period cycle by solitary delay. Please make it a point to discard remains active pills in the new pack you have partially used.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
