How To Predict The Ovulation Period?

Hi, I’m 32 years old and trying to conceive from 4 months. My menstrual cycle is irregular. My cycle varies month to month. Sometimes it is 30 days or 35 days or 40 days but I get my periods almost every month. I don’t feel any ovulation signs. So, I have to be dependent on cervical mucus. My concern is my cervical mucus looks like raw egg white just after my menstrual period done. That is on 6th day. My period last for 5 days. Is it possible to ovulate right after period but get next period after 30-40 days? Isn’t ovulation occurs in middle of the month and menstrual period occurs after ovulation? Also, is it possible to have menstrual period without ovulation? Is my period normal? Can I conceive without any treatment? Please help.

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. It is not possible to have ovulation immediately after the periods. Moreover, ovulation is irregular or not at all if the periods are regular and symptoms of ovulation are not there.
Yes, periods can occur without ovulation also.
You should get yourself investigated for hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia and get a ultrasound done to rule out any polycystic ovarian disease.
You can be given ovulation induction drug to increase the chances of conception.
