Hi,

Buttocks has eccrine glands and it's secretion Increases with number of conditions like:
- Rise in body temperature
- Physical activities - walking, running, weight lifting
- Stress and anxiety
- Hyperthyroidism
- Obesity
- Hormonal imbalance
- Piles or any abscess etc.
I advise you to:
- Change clothes often
- Use cotton under wears which absorbs moisture and allow good airflow
- Apply corn starch powder between the buttocks which absorbs excess moisture and prevent skin infections
- Zinc oxide cream to avoid irritation resulting from sweat
- Antiperspirants with care as it might cause skin irritation

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
