My Mother aged about 77 years diagnosed with CAG and report is as follows :LMCA: NormalLAD: Type III Vessel, Proximal LAD 99% Stenosis. Diagonals and Septals are normal.LCS: Non dominant, normal. Ostial OM 95% stenosis continuous as major OM.RCA: Dominant, mid RCA chronic total Occlusion (CTO), multiple collaterals supplying to RCA from LCA territory.Angio diagnosis: Three vessel coronary artery disease.Since she is having acute pulmonary edema, systemic hypertesnion and obesse. With this condition whether bypass or stent is recommended. or whether with medicine this can be cured ?
For every cardiac surgery , pre surgery work up done done for fittness.IF it comes ok then only surgery is considered. Here your mother needs coronary artery Bypass grafting but looking to your description, pulmonary edema cause poor pulmonary function and with this surgery is not advised. First treat pulmonary edema, normalise blood pressure and then go for pre surgery work up like blood investigation( for CBC,RFT,LFT,BT,CT,PT with INR, urine routin and microscopic examination, etc.), Echocardiography of heart, chest x ray, pulmonary function test, and carotid and renal aretery doppler if advised by your cardiac surgeon. consult him and do cardio pulmonary examination . If all this comes ok...then she can be considered for surgery .
i hope this will help you.
