Hello,
Thank you for asking at HCM.
Both weight changes and period changes that you explain might be caused by
thyroid and
stress.
1. Your
TSH is a little higher than expected so I would recommend to check FT4 and anti TPO to check for a cause. If these are normal than just do a TSH in 2 years.
2. Stress might effect them also. Make sure you:
- exercise regularly, 30 minutes every other day
- go for walks in green parks
- avoid energy drinks and
smoking and alcohol
-Speak of your stress with someone that is a good listener, a friend or family member you sit to speak regularly
- Make sure you have reasonable working hours
3. Make sure you avoid fat, fried food and junk food and have more fruit and vegetable and salads. It is not found healthy or effective to have strong diets but small changes in diet that can be kept for a long time are more advisable.
4. If you continue to have weight gain and your periods continue to be less you will need medical attention.
Hope this answers to your question and is helpful to you
Best Regards,
