How To Reduce Cramping In Calves?

I m withdrawing off Suboxone and it s been 7 days but I know the half life is 72 hours so am I technically on day 3? I ve been on suboxone for 4 years and my taper was extremely quick, I went from 8mg/day to nothing in 4 days. Also, any suggestions to help the cramps in my calfs? Anything will help. Thank you!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The cramps of calves are in relation to withdrawal sign of suboxone therapy which was consumed over a pretty long period of 4 years. My guidelines at present

- as already stopped till now, do not restart Suboxone
- plenty of liquids
- high protein and vitamin diet
- avoid smoking if consuming
- prescription of analgesic for cramp relief
- local application of heating pad or spray of analgesic gel
- anti inflammatory or muscle relaxant medicines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
