Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have ear pain which is because of respiratory infection which sometimes remain persistent and leads to ear pain.

I would suggest you to

- Do warm saline gargles.

- Take steam twice a day and apply warm dry compresses to external ear.

- Avoid cold carbonated beverages.

If symptoms persist consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may examine by otoscopic means to check level of infection. Doctor may order throat swab test and allergy test to confirm the diagnosis and prescribe antibiotics at least for 5 days along with decongestants.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
