How To Reduce Elevated SGPT And SGOT Levels?

Wgt: 73 Kgs.
Height: 5 Feet 5 Inch
My elevated SGPT : 65 & SGOT : 70
I AM TAKING AYURVEDIC MEDICINE TO
REDUCE MY TOTAL CHOLESTROL FROM LAST
MONTH. MY TOTAL CHOLESTROL WAS 215 AS
ON 07 MAY 2011.
I WAS MODERATE DRINKER TILL MAY 07, 2011
NOW I DRINK ONLY RED WINE ABOUT 150 ml DAILY.
PLEASE SUGGEST THE TREATMENT.

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. SGOT and SGPT are the liver enzymes. Their level increase in any kind of liver insult. Common causes are alcohol, drugs, toxin, hepatitis etc. You have history of alcoholism. You may have alcoholic liver disease. You should go for complete liver function test. Stop alcohol and take treatment according to your doctor's advice.
