How To Reduce Essential Tremor In Hands?

I have essential tremor in the hands which is not too extreme and am currently using anti convulsants to reduce it but they do not seem to be working. I would like to use acupressure as there is not acupuncturist where I live. Can you advise on this?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

There is no cure if you are suffering with essential tremor. Essential tremor is dominantly inherited familial disorder and can be controlled not cured.

The drugs are the commonest modality to treat them but they can also be treated in refractory cases by deep brain stimulation, which is a type of surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Iven Romic Rommstein
