Hello, Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. I have gone through your query and would like to offer some suggestions. Lactation can cause hormone imbalance by itself leading to abnormal menstrual pattern. In addition, PCOD seems to have resulted in the heavy prolonged period, a metropathic cycle. I would ask you to see a specialist for proper evaluation and plan further management. You can use styptics to control the bleeding. You may also need a hormone assay and a pelvic sonogram. A couple of courses of hormones are usually necessary. Hope this helps.
