Hi,

Since colonoscopy was done 2 weeks ago and if the problems developed recently then it is not related. Hence we have to find the cause for pain and distention of abdomen which can be one of the following:
- Intestinal obstruction is the most common cause
- Intestinal infection with gas producing bacteria
- Pancreatitis
- Internal herniation
- Intestinal perforation
- Get the X-ray of abdomen in standing position to see for any dilatation of intestines
- CT scan of abdomen helps the best
- Tests of stool
- Tests of blood and urine
- Opinion of a general surgeon or a surgical gastroenterologist
All these will give the proper diagnosis so that a specific treatment as per the cause will be done.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
