How To Reduce Pain In Buttocks While Bending Waist?

I have been experiencing pain when I bend at the waist in the butt area of the right leg. I tripped yesterday and pinched a nerve there and the pain was so intense I nearly passed out. Raising that leg is painful although level walking is not. What is a good treatment besides Advil?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to back muscle strain. Hot fomentation or ice pack application will be helpful for this. For such condition in my patients I would advise muscle relaxants like thiocolchicoside along with NSAIDS like ibuprofen ( advil) . Applying anti inflammatory gels with combination of ketoprofen, methyl salicylate and capsaicin is helpful also. Rest should be given for 2 to 3 days also. If there is no improvement then a consultation with orthopedician should be done to rule out any problems like intervertebral disc injury or hair line fracture s.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
