General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
As your son is having dental caries, you have to take him to the dentist sooner or later.
Meanwhile,he can have a broad spectrum anti-biotic containing cefixime and ornidazole in combination along with an analgesic anti-inflammatory like aceclofenac and paracetamol.
A proton-pump inhibitor like pantoprazole is also required to be taken with these medicines.
Gargling twice or thrice daily with mouthwash containing chlorhexidine would be very helpful.
Take care
