How To Reduce Symptoms Of Flu In Pregnancy?

I am 14 weeks pregnant, and have had a flu for 3 days. I was started on tamiflu 2 days ago but am getting more symptoms. The fever is gone, but I have a runny nose, plugged ears and a persistent cough, with green mucoid secretions. It is making it hard to sleep. Is there anything I can take/do to lessen the symptoms/duration.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
The green mucoid cough, runny nose, plugged ears, suggest bacterial infection affecting sinus/throat infection.
Because you have green cough-you should visit your doctor for specific choice of antibiotics after examination & investigations as per need.
usually Erythromycins with anti inflammatory pain killer drugs & cough syrup is given to such patients.B complex supplementation is helpful.
Inhaling medicated water vapor ( eucalyptus oil) is supportive.Avoid exposure ti irritants/allergens.
Thanks.,
