How To Reduce The Fever?

My son has been sick for over a week with what dr's say is viral. he has been running a fever for 8 days. Last night his temp. was 101.9. but this morning when I checked it, it was 95.5.. what could cause it to drop so low after being so high for over a week

Hi dear.Thanks for writing me on HCM.
Kindly upload your son's age and weight so that it shall help us to prescribe the right dose.Viral fever is managed symptomatically by analgesics, and prophylactic antibiotics (if necessary).Viral fever usually lasts for 1-2 weeks.But follows a downhill.If your son's symptoms are not coming down I were to evaluate further by doing relevant tests.Hope this answers your query.
