How To Reduce Tightness In Upper Collar Bone?

I have tightness in my upper right collar bone, I do get this a lot but I m not sure if I m confusing it with heartburn. It makes me short of breath and I can t withstand people within a close proximity as it makes it a lot worse. The tightness is bare able but is most noticeable when I breathe in as it becomes very tight and painful, when it occurs it is only on my right hand sand just underneath the collar bone. I am also certain that it is not pain in the bone as it feels deeper if that makes sense? Any advice would be appreciated King regards

Hello,

To reduce tightness in the upper collar bone you are suggested to get physically examined by a GP (orthopedics). Your joints will be assessed for range of motion and stability. Your treating doctor may recommend you to get Imaging tests (MRI and CT) done to detect the factor causing you pain and hurt. You will be treated accordingly. Since you are having pain, tightness and shortness of breath you should get clinically assessed at the earliest as symptoms of troubled breathing, dizziness, chest tightness, excessive sweating may be indicative of heart attack.

Collar bone pain can be a sign of heart disease (pericarditis), gall bladder disease, liver disease, nerve pain (neuropathy), clavicle fracture, muscle strain, etc. For heartburn and to ease pain you can take antacid, PPIs, one SOS when required. Sometimes, MI is confused with heart burn. Get all cardiac function tests done. Get treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
