He smokes almost daily but has quit drinking since some time. Also, he s a little overweight for his height. Kindly suggest what all medicines/diet/precautionary measures that he can inculcate in his lifestyle.

An elevated liver enzymes may be caused by damaged or an inflamed liver, which can impact several bodily functions.Measures that may help reduce SGPT level may include:
-Avoid Drinking Alcohol.
-Eat a Low Protein and low fats Diet.
-Avoid Acetaminophen and other over the counter drugs.
-Reduce Environmental Toxins.
-Implement a Healthier Diet Regimen.
-Drink enough water.
-Detox and Support Liver Function with Herbs.
He may also see a Gastroenterologist to evaluate the cause of elevated liver enzymes.Tests that may help include: an abdominal ultrasound, Tests for viral hepatitis(B and C especially)
Hope this will help
