Hi,

You can maximum wait for a week of missed period and do serum beta hCG test which is more reliable than HPT to rule out pregnancy. If positive, you can take tab. Misoprostol, which is an early abortion medication. Following which heavy prolonged bleeding can occur for 2 weeks. I advise you to do a USG pelvis to rule out retained products if any. Also, your next menstrual cycle will be delayed by 1-2weeks. Also, consult your gynecologist for further assistance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
