Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I took a fall in a parking garage, six days ago. I bloodied my knees and hurt my hands. A couple of days later, I noticed that the right hand side of my rib (just under my breast was hurting. It seems to get worse every day. I just started taking some Tylenol and this afternoon affixed a prescription pain patch. I really don t want to go to a doctor. Any suggestions? Should I put cold compresses? Thank you, Pauline
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
The symptoms seem to be related to the injury. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. I also suggest using cold compresses for local application. I recommend to rest and avoid movements that can trigger the pain. If the symptoms continue, I suggest to see an orthopedist.
Hope my answer was helpful.
If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
Kind regards!
