my daughter got elbowed in the throat right side of her adams apple she can hardly talk and it hurts to swallow not sure if I need to take her to the ER she can breathe it doesn t hurt to reath but she got the wind knocked out of her when it happened

Throat is very sensitive to touch and pressure.in case blunt injury sometimes thyroid cartilage can break and causes difficulties in swallowing breathing and speaking . apply some ice cubes, do Not do massage . meet the ENT Dr at the earliest to rule out contusion in laryngeal inlet which is life threatening.take care
