How To Relieve Sore Throat With Cough And Upset Stomach?

hoarse throat and phlegmy cough. prescribed moxikind cv 375 thrice a day but getting an upset stomach and a slightly run down feeling. what to do and how long should the treatment be on?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat with cough and upset stomach which seems to be due to chest infection/ chronic upper respiratory tract infection and it could be due to swollen lymph node/tonsils. Stomach upset occurs sometimes due to intake of antibiotics. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles. You should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get paranasal sinus x-ray done along with throat swab test and blood tests and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should get pulmonary function test done. You should take yogurt in diet. Take proper course of antibiotics. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids. Apply mist humidifiers in room.
