Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi, prolonged posture and repeatedly turning your neck in the same direction could be causing you the pain and some times it radiates to the hand. i would suggest you to give rest to your neck in between your work for a short interval by leaning back on a chair. it will be better if you some stretching exercise very slowly but not by sudden jerky moments for not less then 5 min. before starting your work. i would recommend to visit an orthopedic surgeon to rule out the possibilities damage to your cervical vertebrae and disc. most of the time X-ray will reveal the damage, if not he may suggest you MRI scan. Hope this answers your query. wishing you good health
