Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I dont remember taking out a tampon before putting in another one. So now i don t know if there is one stuck. I ve tried reaching for it and so has my huband but we haven t found anything. It s been a couple of days. What are symptoms i would be having by now if there was something wrong?
Usually retained tampons do show up when you insert your hand to certain depth for sure. If the same is not found even by your husband that indicates it has been dropped outside body without your notice. If there is retained tampon, you will get fever, foul smelling discharge through vagina via infection and other features. To remove any doubt, kindly get examined by an expert OBGYN nearby you.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
