How To Remove A Piece Of Plastic Stuck In Throat?

I have a piece of plastic stuck in my throat, I swallowed it a couple of weeks ago, I thought it was gone when I instantly vomited a piece of it up, I just vomited a little while ago and now I really feel it. I m able to eat and breath fine, It is really uncomfortable. It won t seem to budge. What can I do? If I can t do anything, what are the the doctors going to do?

Hi,

As per your query you have a piece of plastic stuck in the throat which is acting as a foreign body there and causes accumulation of bacteria and debris. It happens that sometimes hard and sharp thing that had gone inside giving small abrasion in the food pipe.

Do warm saline gargles and maintain basic oral hygiene. If there is only abrasions then your symptom will resolve in 24 hours. You need not worry about that.

If you are having any foreign body in the throat then your problem keeps on persisting and visit ENT specialist immediately. Go for fibro-optic scan and with the help of fiberoptic tip get that foreign object removed which is causing the problem.
