How To Remove Black Furry Coating On Tongue After Using Antibiotics?
My Dr. prescribed a powerful antibiotic which I recieved a shot at the office and was given enough pills for 4x daily fior 7 days. I noticed yesterday morning that my tongue has a a black furry coating on it that will not brush off. What is it and what can I do about it?
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The black coated tongue is because of the antibiotics. This occurs secondary to the elongation of the papilla. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can maintain tongue brushing. It is a self limiting condition. Once you stop the antibiotics, it will return to normal. I hope I have answered your query, take care.
