How To Remove Burn Caused By Applying Surgi-wax Cream On Upper Lip?
Hi, i used surgi-wax cream on my upper lip to rid my tiny mustache. I applied it 3 times because I saw no hair removing until the 3rd time. Now my upper lip is entirely red, and brownish, it's burned! I've been putting Neosporin on it but it's taking forever to disappear, and i put foundation on that area so people don't notice, but it shows. Will this burn stay there forever?? Will it eventually go, or is it permanent? I am so worried. Please give me suggestions on what I should use, and what is happening to my skin.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Burn marks take a long time to disappear. The skin damaged during a superficial burn heals up but the pigmentation may remain and may not go permanently. But do not worry. There are medications available which will reduce the pigmentation. Do not use products in this area which can cause damage to the skin in future. You need to consult a dermatologist for clinical examination. Medication which can reduce the pigmentation of the area is required. The visible dark area will fade out with time.
