After lot of trials by drinking water, having bananas, olive oil, I got tired and hopped it would get better by morning. But now is become evening and it s is still there and now it s also hurting a little bit. Today is a Sunday and there are no doctors available... Please help!!
Hello and Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If there was a hard and large piece of bread struck in throat it looks like it has injured your throat while moving down causing pain and a feeling of something still stuck in throat. If it would be still present then it would have caused difficulty in swallowing anything as well as at times it could also cause problem in breathing. So it looks like the pain is due to the injured throat lining and not like it is still present struck in throat. So my suggestion is to once get it checked by an Emergency doctor so that he can use a scope to check your throat. Also you should take painkiller like Ibuprofen that you can dissolve and drink and see if the pain gets reduced. Also eat more of cool and bland foods and take plenty of fluids. Eat banana and also bread and milk so in any case if anything is struck it will go down. But getting checked once is really important.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
