How To Safely Treat Stye In Eye During Pregnancy?

Hi,
I have had a stye in my eye since July 2010. I went to get it removed at the hospital they put me under and only drained it. It of course came back and is worst with even a scar on the lid. My doctor I normally go to for this issue has retired & any other doctor is too busy until June. I am now 5 months pregnant & am worried if i go for a surgery in June it can harm my baby. I just want to know what can I do to get rid of this stye without harming my little one. It is very painful and warm compressents no longer work.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having stye. Since you are pregnant you need to avoid drugs which can harm your baby.
You can use antibiotics which are safe like tobramycin eye drops and apply hot compression.

Thank you
