How To Screen For Genital Herpes?
Hi I was dating a woman and when I broke up with her she said Oh by the way I have Herpes and genital warts . She laughed then said she was kidding I want to be tested just to be sure I am okay . Is there a period of time I should wait before being tested ? I am not going to have sex again until I know that my next partner has no risk from me . I don t see anything unusual but I would rather be tested .

1)Do a viral culture
2)Do a PCR test -it is a DNA test
3)Blood test to determine antibody present
genital herpes is caused by HSV-2 virus.
