How To Skip A Menstrual Period By Taking Logynon?

I am not currently using Logynon but have used it for many years. I want to stop my next period as it falls during my holday. My last period began 4th July but having only just booked a holiday i realise my next period will occur abroad. if i start a packet of Logynon now(i am travelling 3oth july) will my period stop?
