How To Speed Up The Healing Process Of Torn Knee Ligaments?

hi i have recently torn my knee ligaments on the outside of my left knee during a football matech. After seeing a nurse i let it recover for two weeks and played another game of football however the same thing happened again. When it happens i cant put any pressure on the knee however after 24 hours i can walk perfectly fine with hardly any pain. I would just like to know if there is anything i can do to speed up the healing process?
