How To Stop Bleeding From A Deep Cut Which Was Cleaned And Applied Neosporin And Gauge?

Hi, I got a deeper cut on thumb using a potato slicer and I am feeling like the heart beat near the cut after I cleaned the cut with running water then applied neosporin and guage. Its not stopping the bleeding when I removed the guage. What should I do now?

Hello,

Try to approximate the edges of cut then apply tight bandage(self sticking band aid) in such a way that edges of cut are closely approximated.

Keep it for two-three days. Only if bleeding continues after properly applying the bandage you will have to consider visit to doctor.
